In January, in honor of National Mentoring Month, UGI Utilities highlighted Dwayne Rodriguez, Operations Lead, for his involvement in Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS).
BBBS helps children realize their potential and build their futures through meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. BBBS develops positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
Recently, the American Gas Association (AGA) ran Dwayne’s story in their “Making a Difference” section of the American Gas monthly magazine. Click the button below to read the full story.
UGI Proudly Support Big Brothers Big Sisters
UGI has a longstanding history of supporting organizations that advance diversity, inclusion, and equity in the communities we serve, including Big Brothers Big Sisters. Through our support of the BBBS program, Beyond School Walls, UGI is investing in our future employees and customers.
Additionally, UGI employees donate their time and energy to BBBS events, such as the signature fundraiser, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, where UGI teams come together to raise money for the organization while enjoying a night out in the community. UGI is proud to support these events, as well as our employees who give their time to the organization to be a positive influence on youth.
